Trevor Clifford ARPS BPE2

Trevor’s love for, and appreciation of the natural world, began in boyhood. The saltmarshes and backwaters close to Dovercourt, in Essex, his childhood home, proved endlessly fascinating. Not only the landscape with its ever-changing moods and seasons, from mysterious morning mists to blazing sunsets, but also the range and variety of its flora and fauna.

At first, Trevor’s main interest was the bird life, but soon extended to include the elusive water vole, seals, butterflies and insects, and his particular obsession, the brown hare. He recognised the need to record all he saw on camera and so his story began.

He extended his experiences to include Sea eagles and osprey in Scotland, harvest mice in Dorset, gannets and red squirrels in Yorkshire, and red deer on Exmoor.  Recently he developed an interest in still life photography inspired by the paintings of the Old Masters and now enjoys trying to imitate similar effects with his camera.

Trevor is now an award-winning photographer and Associate of the Royal Photographic Society. However his passion is still to share the beauty and wonder of God’s creation - caught on camera
