Claire Weeks - Watercolour Paintings of Hens and Chickens

Claire Weeks, artist and designer, brings her wonderful characteristic watercolour paintings of hens and cockerels into the kitchen area on to a set of tableware.

By combining a vibrant colour palette with quirky fun names, each of Claire's lovely hen, chicken and cockerel watercolour paintings are brimming with movement and personality adding humour and practicality to domestic kitchens.  Her range consists of a set of eight different placemats, each with matching coasters.  There are four different mat designs.

All items are proudly designed by Claire Weeks herself and manufactured in the UK to a very high standard.  The table mats are melamine, extremely durable and are able to withstand temperatures of up to 165 degrees centigrade. being backed in hard wearing cork.

To complement the melamine tableware Claire has designed a range of smooth, round glass platters heat resistant to 260 degrees centigrade, making them perfect as table protectors for hot dishes served straight from the oven, cheese boards, cake or pastry platters or even chopping boards.  When not covered with food they make a colourful centre piece for your table.

Claires's latest addition to her range are textiles, comprising aprons, oven gloves and tea towels.  They made from pre-treated 100% cotton and washable at 30 degrees C.

Creator and founder Claire commented " Having completed a Cordon Bleu cookery course, and working with Robert Carrier at Hintlesham hall, I have a very real and authentic understanding of kitchens.  Today, I enjoy cooking for my family and I believe that the heart of every happy home is the kitchen.  With my cookery background I wanted to create something useful, combined with my love for chickens.  I wanted to be able to add a dash of humour and finally some colour into my paint brushes".
