Brett Gallery is situated in the pretty Suffolk village of Monks Eleigh. It is part of Bridge Farm Barns, a collection of several unique and independent retail businesses offering the customer an unparalleled selection of distinctive products and good service. The outlets include a tea room, gift shop, vintage collectables, vintage fashion, quilting and felting as well as a garden nursery. It all began life as the family concern of “ Corncraft” in 1970.
One of the founders, Win Gage, opened Brett Gallery in 2015 with the aim of promoting the work of locally based artists and crafts people. There are some 40 regular East Anglian Exhibitors displaying a range of work covering original fine art and prints, pottery, jewellery, glass, photography and wood.
Win had decided to retire at the end of March 2020 and this now well-established centre was to have been taken on by husband and wife team, Suzanne Perry and John Reading who were intending to continue to source works that fit into this bracket. Along came the pandemic when the Gallery had to close on 19th March..................
Re-opening of Brett Gallery after Lockdown
Due to this major disruption, the sale of the Gallery has been deferred, which has been a great disappointment to Win, Suzanne and John who were each so looking forward to the changeover. Unfortunately, this isn't to be at this time and Win will continue running the Gallery. After an initial trial of opening on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we are delighted to announce that from 1st August 2020 it will be open for 7 days a week from 11.00 to 16.00.
John and Sue are working closely alongside Win, helping her particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Bridge Farm Barns site will re-open on Wednesday 17th June 2020 and the Gallery will follow on Friday 19th June 2020. We have already started getting it ready and will be doing all we can to provide a safe environment.
A visit to the calm atmosphere of Brett Gallery within the Bridge Farm Barns rural complex has always been an unequalled retail experience – one which we hope you will thoroughly enjoy again and will lead you to come back to re-visit us. There is also has free parking, and good disabled facilities.
